Why Blog?
   
    Sometimes I watch TV and hear people say with great pride that they are "bloggers".  For a moment, I didn't really understand what that meant.  I mean, of course, I know what blogging is, but I couldn't really understand how that is a full-time job.  So, this is my attempt to test the theory if I can really make some money blogging.  I'm pretty sure that endeavor will need some patience, a great deal of patience and probably some work in trying to sign up for Google Adsense, not to mention time to think about what to write about, then, there's me writing.  Yet, I'm feeling optimistic, so let's see where this leads me.  

     If my little experiment is making you curious as well, please feel free to follow my posts and comment.  I read a couple of articles about blogging and both say something about having a "niche".  Well, considering that my mind wanders a whole lot, I'm afraid that this is going to be difficult.  However, to solve that problem, I came up with an inclusive web address (hereissomethingtotalkabout.com) because the shorter version of that was already taken by someone else, so forgive me if that's too long of a site name.  If you find that hard to read, it's supposed to be -- Here is something to talk about dot com.  I guess that name will do it since I am not really certain which topics I will find interesting to talk or "blog" about in the future.  

     I chose Blogger.com because I'm a bit familiar with the site and who couldn't resist the fact that it is free of charge?  So, for some of you out there who is thinking of trying blogging, feel free to follow my footsteps.  With good judgment, I think Blogger has user-friendly features, so if you are a newbie at this, you'd be fine.  

     Next step after this is going to be chalking up a list of interesting things to talk about.   I will have to choose something that many can relate to if I want my blog posts to be read at all. I've read though that it is important to be careful in choosing the topics to write, so there is no room for regret later.  Remember that anybody can see and comment and anything offensive to anyone around you including yourself may might as well damage your reputation.  I believe that bit of information is a matter of consequence that any writer online or on published materials be warned about.  After which, I have to get more acquainted with Google Adsense to understand how I'm making money by posting my intellectual properties (thoughts) for all the world to see.  Who knows? I might quit my regular job and concentrate on blogging in the future, like what others are doing. 

    So, I hope you will enjoy my next posts. I'll try to come up with something worth your time and also will seriously take a bit of pause to update my blog posts regularly. Have fun and if you wish to start your own blog, that's wonderful.  Glad I won't be the only one who's doing this trendy writing task late!
